Meet the Team

  • Christian Palma

    YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Christian first experienced yoga taking a friend’s class in 2010. After spending 13 years working in advertising and the commercial photography industry, he left the 9-5 life behind in 2018 to pursue more hands-on interests, dabbling in woodworking, performance art, and set building. In 2019, seeking to improve my overall health, he rediscovered yoga, and that practice ignited a passion for meditation and self-exploration. He completed my 200-hour certification in January of 2023 from the Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts and now seek to spread that spark to others. Christian sees yoga as a practice of truth, self-discovery, and the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

  • Bianca Worthy

Bianca first stepped onto the yoga mat in 2006 to help cope with transitioning into college. A decade later, work-related injuries led her to heal by diversifying her yoga practice beyond gym focused Vinyasas. She soon experienced the power in frequently practicing yoga, and a spark was ignited for her to bring this healing modality to historically marginalized communities. Thinking this journey would take place in her 40s, the pandemic had other plans that led to her completing a 200-hour Hatha yoga certification training in 2020. Bianca’s teaching style focuses on safety, alignment, and exploration. She empowers her students to listen to their bodies and take time to unwind as they explore movement. When Bianca's not at the studio, she’s leading social good projects that divert food waste or hand making the fragrant coconut wax candles available for purchase in the lobby

  • Mark Hummel

    YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Mark started practicing in 2016 when his wife convinced him to give yoga a try. After he took his first vinyasa workout class, he was hooked. Over the years, he has practiced with and learned from many gifted teachers. In early 2023, he completed his 200-hour certification with Vladimir Tchakarov in the Pranakriya tradition.

In his classes, Mark encourages students to place a strong emphasis on the fundamentals. He enjoys leading a slower-paced class, giving students room to explore the interplay between body, breath and mind. Mark spends almost as much time running as he does practicing yoga, and finds that the two activities complement each other nicely.

  • Tra Kirkpatrick

Led to yoga over 25 years ago during a time of Divine Discontent in her own life, Tra has been sharing yoga’s powers of healing and wholeness with others for two decades. As a certified yoga therapist and life coach, Tra’s teaching invites us to become more curious through our yoga practices. While yoga provides many benefits to the body, classes with Tra encourage members to observe the inner experience of yoga, providing practitioners an opportunity to rise above habitual patterns, become more intentional, and connect more fully with joy and purpose.

Tra has been teaching since 2005, having earned a 200-hour certification through Kripalu and a 500-hour certification through Pranakriya Yoga. As well, she is a Certified Yoga Therapist with a private practice. For over a decade, Tra was an educator in multiple 200 and 500 yoga teacher training programs both locally and throughout the east coast and her level of training and education are the forefront of her classes. Tra’s other loves other than yoga are writing and travel (and her family and pets, of course!). Tra has been a contributing writer to Elephant Journal, Yoga Therapy Today, and Natural Awakenings. As a lover of global exploration, Tra co-leads meaningful and magical yoga experiences all over the world.

  • Alexis Rainey

Alexis began dabbling in yoga at a young age, but it wasn’t until 2011 that yoga made a home in her life in an irreversible way. In her college years, yoga was instrumental in helping her battle mental health struggles – it often felt like the only thing that could keep her mind centered as she navigated not just the trials of young adulthood, but the complexities of embarking on the long, unforgiving journey toward emotional wellness. Since then, her yoga practice has only deepened over time, ultimately leading to Alexis taking on 200-hour yoga teacher training with Mandy Roberts of FORM {yoga}, graduating in October of 2023. As a yoga practitioner, Alexis has learned that, while yoga can be a lot of things, the only thing it should be is exactly what you need it to be each time you step foot on your mat. She strives to create a warm, inviting, safe, and not-so-serious environment for yogis of all walks of life to find whatever they may be looking for in their practice. As a teacher, Alexis encourages self-exploration and curiosity, and is a big believer that yoga is still yoga even if there’s more laughter and levity than there is stoicism.

  • Jasmine Bradfield

Jasmine is a yoga instructor, traditional midwife and women’s wellness specialist. Her yoga training ranges from hatha and meditation to restorative and yin. Influenced by her teachers, students, and environment, she has dedicated her lifestyle to yoga and aims to guide others through their own wellbeing. She blends her eclectic style with the traditional benefits of meditation, asana, and pranayama to the rhythm of hypnotic sounds.

  • Claudia Utesch

    YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Claudia started practicing yoga in 2017 at her local gym and quickly fell in love with the practice. Claudia found yoga to be more impactful than just a way to stay physically active. Yoga has become a form of peace and foundation in her life. This love for yoga prompted her to receive her RYT-200 certificate from Dancing Dogs Yoga in January 2021. Claudia focuses on creating a safe and enjoyable vinyasa power flow for all students. She emphasizes students to listen to their body as they practice yoga and to celebrate what they bring to the practice as individuals. When she is not practicing yoga, Claudia works as a dietitian and diabetes educator at a local Atlanta hospital and spends her free time walking her two pups Toby and Cleo and roller skating around Atlanta!

  • Ila Karthik

Ila began practicing yoga at a young age as a means of meditation and reflection. During the 2020 quarantine, yoga, coupled with breathing exercises and meditation, became an anchor through the challenging times. Once a runner, Ila transitioned to yoga after knee and hip issues made high-impact activities difficult.

Currently, a Senior at Druid Hills High School, she finds joy in cuddling with her dog, crocheting, diving into classic literature, and typing her thoughts on her lovely typewriter. Teaching is a passion that she embraces in every aspect of her life, whether she's tutoring school subjects or, of course, leading yoga sessions for children.

As a lifelong learner, Ila thrives on gaining wisdom from everyone she encounters—including the younger kids she teaches. She hopes to obtain her 200-hour yoga certification in the near future, which would allow her practice to deepen and increase her ability to share yoga with others.

  • Jenny Choi

Jenny’s yoga journey began in her teenage years, when she first discovered the transformative power of yoga to expand both inner and outer awareness. Through her practice, she experienced firsthand the profound healing benefits—mentally, physically, and spiritually—that yoga offers. This deep connection inspired her to pursue formal training, earning her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) certification at YogMantra Bali in 2023. The experience was so enriching that she returned the following year to complete her 300-hour certification in 2024.

Jenny’s teaching is rooted in the belief that yoga is a pathway to self-awareness, balance, and healing. She creates an inclusive and nurturing space for students to explore their practice with mindfulness and presence. When not on the mat, Jenny loves to immerse herself in nature, create art, and travel, always seeking inspiration from the world around her.

  • Amanda Pawlowski

    YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Amanda’s teaching style concentrates on strength and safety with a focus on alignment and isometrics. She wants her students to be fully present in their bodies in the moving meditation yoga provides. She is inspired by the effort of her students toward their own self care, and she encourages students to joyfully make the effort that feels right for them on and off the mat. She has been practicing yoga since 2011. A yoga-related injury in 2017 forced her to modify her physical yoga practice, which pushed Amanda deeper in meditation and compassion for herself. She received her 200 hour certification from Integrative Flow Yoga with Veronica Lewinger in 2019. She practices yoga in order to connect more deeply with herself.

  • Dana Hernandez

    YOGA INSTRUCTOR/OWNER

Dana found yoga in 2009 because of her personal injuries left her unable to lie flat on her back. In her 10th Savasana, she was able to fully relax on her back for the first time in over a year. That confirmed the power of the practice for her. In 2014, she decided to take the plunge and learn as much as possible in order to share the practice with others. With a strong Ashtanga influence, her teaching has evolved into hosting alignment-based, full body classes that focus on breath, transitions, and balance. She also owns Anurati Yoga Studio with the support of her Husband, Tyler. They live locally in the Decatur/Avondale area. When Dana is not at the studio, she works full time for a Montessori school corporation, educating other teachers and handling internal branding efforts.
